On 15th September we attended a matinee performance of Operation Mincemeat at The Fortune Theatre near Drury Lane, London.It was a fast moving and fun account of a true story which helped turn the tide of WW11 in Europe. It was very well received by the majority of the party.Before the performance we ate at various restaurants nearby, with the most enjoying lunch at Cicchetti Italian, Covent Garden.

Million Dollar Quartet is a re-enactment of an impromptu jam session involving Elvis Presley, Jerry Lee Lewis, Carl Perkins and Johnny Cash made on December 4th, 1956, at the Sun Records Studios in Memphis. It is a high energy musical comprising of classic 1950’s rock and roll.

Miss Saigon returns to the West End stage and is an iconic love story set against the Vietnam war and is based on the 1904 opera Madame Butterfly. It was written by Calude-Michel Schonberg and Alain Boublil who also wrote Les Misérables.
